The stained skull of a woodrat and the upturned roots of the ancient oak overburdened by snow are as magnificent as a scattering of yellow fawn lilies.

My work is mostly representational but without the static moment of the photograph. Subjects are allowed to evolve. Some areas in a painting are decisively detailed, while other parts are left to vague and shifting suggestion. As I see it, that's life.
