| This painting was inspired by my fascination with the three aspects of our "selves": the conscious, sub-conscious, and higher self. Bringing them together in perfect harmony allows for the manifestation of healing, telepathy and prayer. The girl on the rock is looking to her "Selves" to observe, learn and discover the power of healing by bringing the three "Selves" together. Her name is Faith.
The painting sits on its axis to portray healing in the four directions. The mountains in the background represent healing through the four seasons. It implores us to look to nature to replenish what we have already lost. The landscape is new, the trees young and the flowers few. This to me represents what a small piece of the planet will look like once we begin to restore it from its present state. There are 44 creatures that have come together for this event. Each animal depicts a different medicine wheel of the Native American Indian. They are gathering around the human world to share in healing of the ways of life. The dominant feature in this painting, the Tree of Life itself, represents the last of the great giants from our forests around the world. It is here to inspire healing of the upper world. From the sun and the clouds in the sky, to the water we drink and the air we breathe. The roots of the tree remind us that the power to heal and change lies within our deepest selves. The ripples of the pool invite us to extend this gift beyond all known boundaries. As the medicine of caretaker for the earth and all who inhabit it, we have the ability to heal and change all that is. In Healing Love and Peace, Hope |
